Perched on the hillside overlooking the shimmering waters of Copacabana Beach on New South Wales’ Central Coast, Tudibarang House has been reimagined into a serene coastal retreat. Designed by Lynne Bradley Interiors and brought to life by SGD Builders, this project merges geometric precision with organic curves, echoing the natural rhythm of the ocean and the landscape.
The house, originally characterised by angular planes, now boasts softened edges and a soothing palette inspired by its surroundings. Every element of the renovation speaks to balance and subtlety, ensuring the home feels expansive yet grounded. The result is a space that embodies relaxation, where nature's influence is evident in every corner.
A Harmonious Vision
SGD Builders executed meticulous alterations and additions, addressing both functionality and design. The home saw internal and external restorations, including architecturally designed bathrooms, a refreshed kitchen and laundry, and the installation of parquetry flooring in key areas. Careful attention was given to sanding, staining, and waterproofing, ensuring the home’s longevity and aesthetic appeal.
Lynne Bradley Interiors’ design integrates subtle textures and curved details that create a sense of continuity throughout the home. The soothing palette mirrors the coastal views, with soft blues and natural tones enhancing the connection to the outdoors. This careful curation transforms the home into a retreat that feels both timeless and contemporary.
Nood Co's Bespoke Touch
A key feature of the design is the inclusion of Nood Co basins, showcasing the brand’s versatility and ability to provide custom options for designers and architects. The Primary Bathroom features the Nood Co Pill Basin in a custom deep blue color, harmonising with pale blue Spanish tiles and a curved wall-to-wall vanity. Aged brass hardware and a natural stone benchtop complete the space, blending modern design with classic coastal elegance.
In the Powder Room, the Nood Co Box Vanity Set, also in a custom deep blue, takes centre stage. Its black frame contrasts beautifully with pale blue tiles, creating a striking yet cohesive design. These custom pieces demonstrate Nood Co’s commitment to providing tailored solutions that elevate a project’s uniqueness.
Capturing the Essence
Photography by Anson Smart and editorial styling by Steve Cordony beautifully document the home’s transformation. Their work highlights the interplay of textures, light, and thoughtful design, encapsulating the essence of Tudibarang House as a place of tranquility and connection.
Through its considered approach and harmonious design, Tudibarang House stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful renovation. This project celebrates the natural beauty of its location while offering a refined and welcoming retreat - a perfect coastal escape.
