Newtown House by Jeanette Del Zio of JDZ Designs, showcases a vibrant home renovation that masterfully combines colour and texture. The heritage terrace, over 100 years old, was overdue for an update and needed to be reconfigured for modern living.
This addition transformed a 100-year-old Newtown terrace from a one-bathroom house to a two-bathroom space filled with vibrancy and personality.
Green and terrazzo were a common theme throughout the home, in both the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen features beautiful olive green cabinetry and terrazzo benchtops and backsplash.
The upstairs bathroom features the Nood Co Herbert Basin in Blush Pink, sitting on a beautiful curved mint green vanity by Vanity Co with gold tapware by PARISI and tiles supplied by Di Lorenzo. Terrazzo tiles are utilised in the space, paired beautifully with a white and mint green ‘Alchemist’ subway tile.
The 'ACFA Best Laundry Finalist 2023' joint laundry and bathroom features a stunning Pill Basin in Blush Pink by Nood Co. This beautiful basin is complemented by luxurious elements such as a curvaceous bathtub, deep forest green cabinetry by Vanity Co, Häfele hardware, and a gold-trimmed mirror. The use of space-saving bi-fold doors, combined with a palette of greens and pinks, exemplifies both practical and aesthetic design.
The Newtown House Project exemplifies how thoughtful design and high-quality materials create a beautiful and functional home.
